The Red Death is the Bruce Wayne of Earth -52, a reality in the Dark Multiverse where Batman merged himself with the Flash and became a member of Barbatos' Dark Knights after losing many of his sidekicks. Eventually, Batman believed he needed to take a more brutal approach in fighting crime, so he decided to steal the speed of the Flash. After defeating his Rogues Gallery and confiscating their gear, he used it to capture the speedster and then absorbed him into himself by driving both him and the Flash into the Speed Force.

The Red Death was created by Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo, first appearing in Dark Days: The Casting #1 (2017).
