Zonium was a radioactive element discovered by Dr. Baroc which, when combined with plutonium and krypton, could detonate with enough force to blow the world out of its orbit.
History
Zonium was first isolated by Dr Eric Z. Baroc on Katung Island in the Pacific Ocean. Through atomic reaction, Baroc fused Zonium with Plutonium and krypton to create a material a billion times more destructive than the hydrogen bomb; which he called Element Z.[1] The energy released from the Z-bomb was sufficient to send the world out of its orbit to certain doom.
The one weakness the material had was that Zonium rapidly lost strength in strong heat; as Blackhawk demonstrated when he cooked the bomb in the wash of his jet engine.
