The metal, also known as the "fire of the Fourth World", is the power source of most technology belonging to the New Gods, including Mother Boxes, Father Boxes, and the Miracle Machine.[2][3][4][5]
Powers and Abilities
Everything within the multiverse is made from the Tenth Metal in its least concentrated state.[1] He who dons this miracle substance has the power to rewrite the nature of reality on a totallic scale.
- Reality Alteration: It is the metal of pure imagination personified, having the ability to shape and materialize anything the user can think of and make it real.[1]
- Metamorphosis: Tenth Metal by itself can also change shape and alternate physical form in coherence to the user's desires. Becoming mostly anything they can imagine be it weaponry, shielding, or armor.[1]
- Power Augmentation: Anyone who adorns 10th Metal has any natural abilities on hand magnified by the strength of their will.[1]
- Clairvoyance: Users of the Tenth Metal often receive visions of various occurrences throughout space and time, as well as all across the Multiverse.[4]
- Precognition: The Metal can reveal to its handler's visions of the future based upon what their hearts truly desire. Showcasing a preview of what is to come in the near future.[1]
- Cosmic Awareness: Through the connection to his Element X-powered Mother Box, Cyborg has a deeper connection to his universe and beyond. Reality itself speaks to him and provides greater understanding of the Multiverse in order to act as its penultimate guardian against the Dark.[4]
Notes
- An unrelated Element X appeared in Strange Adventures Vol 1 65; it will give wings to any living being. Hal Worth used this Element X to become a Hawkman-analogue temporarily.
- According to Grant Morrison, Element X and the Worlogog are one and the same, which is why Element X appears visually the same as the Worlogog in Final Crisis #7.[8]
