Earth 43 is one of the worlds of the Multiverse in the New 52.

History

A world of fear and darkness, where after becoming an even darker creature of the night in order to defeat Dracula, Batman succumbed to his curse and spread the vampire plague to the rest of Earths heroes, forming the Blood League. These unstoppable super-vampires have chased the quenching of their thirst across the universe, waging war against Rann and its defender Adam Strange. However, an attempted invasion attempt of Earth 13 resulted in their appetite for blood being redirected by the sorceress Annataz towards coffee.

• Earth 43 is based on the earlier concepts of Earth-43 and its original Multiverse equivalent Earth-1191.
• While largely possessing vampire equivalents to the Justice League, Earth 43 possesses Ultraman instead of Superman, perhaps due to Ultraman's transformation into a vampire in Morrison's Final Crisis. Grant Morrison confirmed that Earth 43's Ultraman was intended to be the same as Ultraman from Final Crisis in a Reddit AMA.^[4]
• Earth 43 is opposite Earth 49 in the structure of the Multiverse, and is directly connected to Hell.
• Earth 43 is part of an area in the local Multiverse termed "The Gloaming" with Earths 3, 10, 13, 15, 19, 37 and 40.
