• Hour-Man first appeared in Adventure Comics #48, March 1940, and had his adventures in a generic American city, which went unnamed until Adventure Comics #53, Aug 1940, when it was called Appleton City. Two months later, in Adventure Comics #55, Oct 1940, the city was identified as Cosmos. No explanation or mention of this change is made, ever.
