Al Capone was a notorious Prohibition-era gangster operating in Chicago. As a powerful gang lord, he has become a staple character to represent organized crime, decades after his unglamorous death. Time travelling heroes encountered him more than once.

Al Capone was a historical character who was first adapted for DC Comics by Otto Binder and Wayne Boring in Superman #142 (1961).
